Hi My name is Victor Vreeland and I have no training in marketing and don't pretend to know more than the pros. I have, however, spent over 500 days, onboard NCL Ships. I suspect every NCL Cruisers has one golden idea to improve the experience. I would like to share mine with you.
Currently, NCLH Shareholder benefits are as follows:
Shareholders of 100 or more shares:
$250 Onboard Credit per Stateroom on Sailings of 15 Days or More.
$100 Onboard Credit per Stateroom on Sailings of 7 to 14 Days.
$50 Onboard Credit per Stateroom on Sailings of 6 Days or Less.
A benefit package could be designed around the number of shares the individual owns regardless of the length of the cruise.
$50 Onboard Credit per Stateroom for 100 - 199 shares
$75 Onboard Credit per Stateroom for 200 - 299 shares
$100 Onboard Credit per Stateroom for 300 - 399 shares
$125 Onboard Credit per Stateroom for 400 – 499 shares
$150 Onboard Credit per Stateroom for 500 shares and above.
Offer a NCLH seminar for all passengers regarding the purchase of NCHL shares. Benefits and pitfalls. If permissible, the information might be offered by an invited rotating and or contracted brokerage firm. NCL may be able to generate revenue from those investment firms.
A private Sapphire, Diamond and Ambassador gathering attended by Staff Officer and Onboard Latitudes Representative to provide more in-depth overview of corporate plans for the future. This Latitudes tier are your most prolific marketers.
NCLH Shareholders will be recognized on their key card below their Latitudes designation. This will not confer any reward other than those offered, just a recognition of their loyalty and interest. For Example:

First time cruisers only imagine what it would be like to receive some of the perks of the Latitudes loyalty members. “NCL First” would give them a taste of the higher Latitudes tiers.
As Diamond Latitudes Members, Judi and I know what it takes to archive that level. We know the pride we feel and of course, the rewards are great.
The COVID-19 Pandemic has provided the corporation with challenges to encourage new and loyal customers. I believe current Latitudes Members will understand this program would be limited and is implemented to insure NCL remains profitable and competitive.
“NCL First” cruisers would receive a select combination of rewards from the Latitudes Reward table. A sample of rewards would be an incentive to book their first NCL cruise. The rewards would be based on input from corporate staff as which are the best to encourage first time cruisers.
“NCL First” get together with a staff officer and Onboard Latitudes Representative.
“NCL First” guest would have the room key card imprinted with their status.
Staff, realizing these cruisers are enjoying NCL for the very first time, should take time to recognize their status.
“CruiseNext” certificates those credits purchased onboard an NCL Ship
"CruiseFirst" certificates are those purchased prior to boarding an NCL cruise ship.
1. Upon embarkation, cruiser would present “CruiseNext” certificate and their account would receive the credit. May only allow one “CruiseNext” certificate to be used in this manner per stateroom.
2. Allow cruisers to use “CruiseNext” certificates on board to purchase NCL logo items, Spa, Specialty Dining options and shore excursions.
